Thought I'd share...
Baby wants Indian food...but heartburn is a mutha! The results.....please don't look if you have a weak stomach.... I'll just tell you in the mean time....yesterday's Lunchtime delight turned into todays vomit party...in fact I spent almost all day at work....throwing up...in the toilet....in the trash can....in front of customers. Oh...and the bloody tissues....dry air from the heater...makes my nose bleed....which give me headaches. All in the name of love :) Just thought I'd share....
Top Ten Reasons Why Pregnancy May NOT Be For You...
10. You turn into the Hulk during your monthly cycle....(I'm just saying you may not have your period for 40 weeks but your hormones are crazy!)
9. You are afraid to fart...burp...or vomit in front of other people.
8. You absolutely need to see your feet...everyday (I don't even bother trying...I usually only see them in the tub.)
7. If you are overly concerned about your butt to gut ratio...then pregnancy may not be the thing for you!
6. If you can't live without....sleeping on your stomach...or your back...or you don't like any part of your body going numb b/c you can't really rollover to move onto your other side....
5. If you don't like public bathrooms...or trees
4. You actually care about shaving...your vajayjay....or seeing it at all for that matter
3. You would mind that an XL shirt fits as a belly shirt
2. You don't want to pee in regular intervals of 5 mins.
1. You hated going through puberty...(your body and hormones change just like when you were going through that wonderful stage in life....the only difference is ...the growing kicking baby in your belly)

32 Weeks and Kicking!!!!
My weekly update from my favorite pregnancy and baby website Babycenter.com (they have a "everything you need to know" book that corresponds with the website...that is very helpful...for non-knowing-soon-to-be-moms like me) I'll keep you updated with what really happens...b/c every pregnancy is different....so here is what is supposed to happen....
Your pregnancy: 32 weeks
How your baby's growing:
By now, your baby weighs 3.75 pounds (pick up a large jicama) and is about 16.7 inches long, taking up a lot of space in your uterus. You're gaining about a pound a week and roughly half of that goes right to your baby. In fact, she'll gain a third to half of her birth weight during the next 7 weeks as she fattens up for survival outside the womb. She now has toenails, fingernails, and real hair (or at least respectable peach fuzz). Her skin is becoming soft and smooth as she plumps up in preparation for birth.See what your baby looks like this week. (Or see what fraternal twins look like in the womb this week.)
Note: Every baby develops a little differently — even in the womb. Our information is designed to give you a general idea of your baby's development.
How your life's changing:
To accommodate you and your baby's growing needs, your blood volume has increased 40 to 50 percent since you got pregnant. With your uterus pushing up near your diaphragm and crowding your stomach, the consequences may be shortness of breath and heartburn. To help relieve your discomfort, try sleeping propped up with pillows and eating smaller meals more often. You may have lower-back pain as your pregnancy advances. If you do, let your caregiver know right away, particularly if you haven't had back pain before, since it can be a sign of preterm labor.
Assuming it's not preterm labor that's ailing you, you can probably blame your growing uterus and hormonal changes for your aching back. Your expanding uterus shifts your center of gravity and stretches out and weakens your abdominal muscles, changing your posture and putting a strain on your back. Hormonal changes in pregnancy loosen your joints and the ligaments that attach your pelvic bones to your spine. This can make you feel less stable and cause pain when you walk, stand, sit for long periods, roll over in bed, get out of a low chair or the tub, bend, or lift things.
Get support from your partner "Sleeping is getting difficult. The only way I can get any rest is to lie with my back to my husband as he cradles my body. The support from him and a pillow between my legs is the best help." —Anonymous
Yep...I'm getting that heavy-swollen-feet feeling...and I almost burned my belly last night on the stove while cooking dinner! Ooops :( Today I went to my doctor's appointment...and well I gained 10lbs since my last appointment...which was ummm....two weeks ago! (that's almost 40lbs so far!)Ouch. yeah so now I've really got to watch what I'm eating...bummer...but I want to make sure baby is healthy and safe. I guess I haven't been doing so well. She seems happy...and its all elbows and knees on her end....I'm cool.

WTF???!!!!

A woman gave birth to octuplets this morning...this is what I found on Yahoo.com....
The mother gave birth to six boys and two girls weighing between 1 pound, 8 ounces, and 3 pounds, 4 ounces, doctors at Kaiser Permanente Bellflower Medical Center said. The hospital had scheduled a Caesarean section for seven babies, but doctors were surprised when an eighth came out at 10:48 a.m.
Ummm...surprised when an eighth came? First of all...this woman had 8....babies ....she was carrying 8 babies...whew...I get tired just with my one! (Or at least thats what the doctor's told me...just one)....my second wtf! goes to...this woman has gone 30 weeks or so thinking she's "only" having 7 babies...and Ooops....here pops out one more! But I guess its easy to miss an extra baby...with seven other babies squeezed into that little bit of space..its a wonder they saw anything at all. Craziness! As a matter of fact...the ultra-sounds are hard enough to figure out with one baby.
They say that the babies ranged from 1lb and some change to 3 or 4lbs....I'm sure the doctors can keep these little ones healthy so they can grow big and strong. WOW! Oh and the mother plans on breast feeding all of them!!! Go ahead girl :)
This is the kind of stuff that gets me puzzled...doesn't that hurt? I want to see a picture! Could you imagine the stretch marks on that one! Anywho...these types of deliveries are very delicate matters...so I hope for the best for the babies and mommy.
Heyyyyyy Babyyy
Hello...fellow bloggers! I'm excited about starting this blog...... first off b/c I have absolutely NO idea about babies...which includes but is not limited to....being pregnant (well not so much anymore...since I've been pregnant for 8 months now...I know a little something something), labor, birth, changing diapers....oh! holding babies. Really I've only been around one newborn...which I did try to keep my distance. Now that baby is on her way...I feel like I am almost done...its kind of about time that I get ready. Annnnnddddddd....to answer the question that I'm sure is burning in your mind...."Dawn, why the heck am I reading this blog of yours?"...I figured this could be my learning tool for my intro to mommy-hood...and maybe you readers could help me as I move along in this adventure and I could help some of you future mommy's with the stories of my trial and (hopefully not too many) errors! And for the rest of you...maybe you could get a good laugh. Happy Reading!
